Milan Fashion Week! Back to my roots. Opening Milan Fashion Week with a BANG! Gucci's Fall/Winter 2011 90th Anniversary Show. A collection inspired by Angelica Houston and Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine.

Gucci's 90th Anniversary was so decadent and stunning. Every piece on the runway was a glam fantasy and every piece could be worn off the runway. Frida Giannini was not shy for putting on a show filled with glam, color, fur, colored flowing silk sheer dresses paired with fur, fedora hats that are one of my favorite accessories and python patent leather jackets to die for esp because they have all these rich colors belted for that ultra chic cinched waist styled with the silver fox fur. This collection is definitely my style and every piece screams editorial and red carpet. For evening, Giannini went long, cutting draped gowns in as much as 35 meters of chiffon. Don't think for an instant, though, that these were covered up. On the contrary, they dipped down to the navel and came slit up to the hips. Sure, there was a long-sleeved version, but it was as sheer as the others; the model's matching briefs were on full view. Here, the designer skipped the fur in favor of shrugs or scarves or jackets whipped up from hand-dyed silk flowers. Wearable, Stunning, Chic, Fabulous and Opulent collection, there is something for everybody.
